FINISH MACHINING OF THE CUTTING INSERTS FROM CUBIC BORINE NITRIDE BL GROUP COMPOSITE

نویسندگان

چکیده

Finishing methods of machining superhard composite’s working elements based on cubic boron nitride BL group are considered. The results the microgeometry formation research cutting inserts’ surfaces during by free powders synthetic diamond, grinding wheels and a method vibro-magnetic-abrasive (VMAM) presented. It is shown that VMAM friction between abrasive particles result in microremoval material, which reduces roughness surfaces. established additional fine with 14/10 mkm diamond powder provides absence defects left pre-machining. high-quality rounding edges inserts less an increase strength wear resistance metal-cutting tools high-speed under conditions significant loads.

On-Line Estimation of Groove Wear in the Minor Cutting Edge for Finish Machining

The paper investigates the effective detection and esdmation of = m v e wear at the minor cutting edge, which has a mtal influence on surface quality in finish-machining. During bar-turning experiments with different cutting conditions, a miniature 3-D accelerometer, mounted in close vicinity to the tool tip, was used to measure the multivariate vibration signal produced by the turning process....

Cutting Tool Temperature Analysis in Heat-Pipe Assisted Composite Machining

Machining of advanced materials, such as composite, encounters high cutting temperatures and rapid tool wear because of the abrasive nature of the reinforcement phases in the workpiece materials. Ultrahard coatings, such as chemical vapor deposition diamond, have been used for machining such advanced materials. Wear of diamond-coated tools is characterized by catastrophic coating failure, plaus...
